Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Palma account and the data that goes with it. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
01Delete from inside the app
- Open Palma and go to the You tab.
- Open Settings from your profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
That is the whole process. The deletion runs immediately on our servers and you are signed out.
02Or ask us to do it
If you can't get into the app, email hello@palmarum.dev from the email address on your account and ask for deletion. We verify the request and delete the account.
03What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted from our servers
- Your account and sign-in identity.
- All your activities: routes, distances, times, heart rate, names and descriptions.
- Your faith entries, run intentions, and offerings.
- Photos you attached to activities.
- Your comments and palms, and your profile (name and avatar).
- Push notification tokens for your devices.
Not stored by us in the first place
- Data on your device (caches, local error logs, Strava connection tokens) is removed when you delete the app.
- Anything you sent to your own Strava account lives in Strava, under Strava's controls.
- Apple Health data stays in Apple Health; Palma only ever read it.
Retention
There is no additional retention period: deletion is carried out at the time of the request. Standard encrypted database backups age out automatically within 30 days.
