Help & Support

How can we help?

Support for Palma and Sebastian. The fastest way to reach us is email — a real person reads every message, usually within a day or two.

01Contact

Email hello@palmarum.dev for anything — a bug, a question, a feature you wish existed, or help with your account. Include your device model and iOS version if you're reporting a problem; screenshots help too. If something went wrong in the app, you can attach the error log from the profile screen — it lives only on your device until you choose to send it.

02Common questions

Why does Palma ask for "Always" location access?

So a run keeps recording when your screen locks or you switch apps mid-run. Location is tracked only while a run you started is in progress — never in the background otherwise. You can verify this yourself in iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services, where iOS shows you when an app last used your location.

If you'd rather grant "While Using," runs still record as long as Palma stays in the foreground.

My Apple Watch runs aren't showing up.

Palma reads workouts from Apple Health, so two switches matter: your watch must be saving workouts to Health (it does by default), and Palma must have Health access — check iOS Settings → Privacy → Health → Palma, and make sure Workouts and Heart Rate are allowed.

Then pull down to refresh in the app. Note that Apple never tells apps when Health access was declined — it just returns no data — so if the list stays empty, the Settings check above is the fix.

A run stopped recording partway through.

Almost always this is iOS shutting background work down: Low Power Mode, or Background App Refresh turned off for Palma. Check Settings → Battery (Low Power Mode) and Settings → General → Background App Refresh → Palma.

If it happens again after that, email us with the date of the run and your device model — we'll dig in.

How do I connect (or disconnect) Strava?

Connect from the profile screen — it opens Strava's own sign-in page, and only runs you choose to upload are sent to your Strava account. Disconnect any time in the same place; you can also revoke Palma's access from Strava's settings at strava.com/settings/apps.

How do I edit or delete an activity?

Open the activity and use its edit control — the name, description, and the stats its card shows can all be changed. Deleting an activity removes it from your ledger and from your Circle's view.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account and your activities from our servers — it is immediate and cannot be undone. If you can't get into the app, email us from the address on the account and we'll delete it for you.

Who sees what I share with my Circle?

Only the people in that Circle. Nothing you record is public, and nothing is shared unless you share it. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
